Must have
To register your family with Seguridad Social, you need to be a resident in Spain and hold a Green Certificate (EU citizens) or a TIE card (non-EU citizens). If you are already a resident of Spain, you can skip the prerequisite module.
Make sure you have done one of the following first:
NIE Green card
EU CitizenAlready have your NIE Number? The green card is your next milestone, official proof that you're a registered EU resident in Spain. It unlocks long-term rights, simplifies futu...
TIE Card
Non-EU CitizenThe TIE is the biometric residency card required for all non-EU citizens living in Spain including British citizens since Brexit. It proves your legal right to reside in Spain...
Social Security number
If you already have a NUSS number as an employee or autónomo, you can register your family members as beneficiarios so they too can access Spanish healthcare. The process requires the right documents, an appointment at the INSS office, and a visit to the local Centro de Salud.
From zero to fully registered
This module guides you step by step through registering your partner and children as beneficiarios: which documents you need for each family member, how to book the appointment at the INSS office, and how to apply for the regional healthcare card at the local Centro de Salud afterwards. Every document is listed and the final checklist covers everything from the Padrón to proof of family relationships. Four steps to full healthcare coverage for your entire family.
What do you get?
Each module gives you everything you need to complete the process correctly, first time. No law degree required, no prior knowledge of Spanish bureaucracy assumed just clear, practical guidance from start to finish.
